About This Page
This is actually my fifth attempt at designing this site. The first one was very simple — I basically made some strokes in Photoshop and put them around my cirriculum vitæ (I'm a programmer not a designer, Jim!), but I got sick of it after a while. The second one didn't have any design, just some pictures, and got some very bad feedback. Since I'm not really good at all that, for my third version, I used a free premade design, and stuck my text in here (since the old design didn't have any, I had to become very creative anyways). The forth version was an attempt to create a web page that doesn't look like it's using a premade design :), but unfortunately didn't look quite good enough, so Dietmar Kerschner did the design for this version (I wrote the HTML/CSS for it, though).

Life On a Scale
- 1988-2001: School
- After some very hard years at some schools I'd rather disremember, I attended HTL Donaustadt starting 1996, in the technical computer sciences branch (which doesn't exist any more, as far as I know).
- Very early, I got an addiction that I couldn't get rid of ever since: Computers. I started programming shortly after I learned reading and writing, and I still haven't stopped being fascinated by it as of today.
- 2001-2002: Duty For The State
- Since I despise the military, I attended community service instead (12 months at Lebenshilfe Wien), where I spent my time with some very nice people.
- My first commercial programming projects (very small-scale, though) started shortly before leaving school.
- 2002-2008: Vienna University of Technology
- After spending years with CS teachers that couldn't keep up with my knowledge in programming, I finally found the right place: The Vienna University of Technology. I've completed Software Engineering and Computer Graphics and Digital Image Processing.
- 2008-2010: University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien
- This is my second master's degree. Since Computer Graphics at the University of Technology was heavier on the theoretical side of things, I thought I'd probably want to get some training for field work, too. Thus, I enlisted in Game Engineering and Simulation.
- since 2009: Lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences
- In parallel to studying Game Engineering, I'm also attending to the students of the following year, teaching "Game Engine Design" and "Game Engine-based Development".
